THE LONG SHOT

An episodic documentary series showing the triumphs, struggles, and inspiring characters within three distinct levels of soccer in North Carolina - high school, club, and professional. We check in with Salem City FC - an aspiring pro soccer team based in Winston-Salem, at West Forsyth High School - a consistently high performing soccer program, and then with NC Rush - a youth soccer academy that makes soccer training accessible to many talented young North Carolinians who have found soccer to be financially out of reach at other clubs. Along the way, we receive cultural context from people like Connor Tobin, Executive Director of the USL Players Association.
